Introduction to Forestry: Diversifying Agricultural Land Workshop

ASWCD's March 9th, sold out forestry workshop featured a diverse group of speakers from a variety of local, state, and federal agencies. Our speakers explored topics like: forest ecology, basic management techniques, contracts & selling your timber, land acquisition, financial assistance & cost share programs, and tax incentives. We wrapped up the workshop with a question and panel session with our speakers. We were at full capacity for this workshops with participants from across the state.



Each attendee took home a folder packed with presentations, a copy of SC Forestry Commissions Best Management Practices for Forestry, and a Forest Plants of the Southeast Field Guide. A few participants were lucky enough to win a copy of US Forest Service's Invasive Plants in Southern Forests Field Guide to take home as well.
