Jeffrey Dale Swartz Scholarship recipient Austin Mills, along with his mother Ms. Annie Mills, and classmate Dalton Harrell joined Hailee Morris, NRCS Intern and Lauren Burroughs, ASWCD manager at Lake Olmstead Stadium on June 28 to celebrate the Greenjackets Super Splash Day 2017. Students, families, and summer camp participants from across the CSRA enjoyed an afternoon baseball game while celebrating water by visiting water related activity booths, sliding on water slides, and having a water balloon fight in the stands. The ASWCD crew taught children about the water cycle by leading an activity called "The Incredible Journey". Our volunteers served as guides while students traveled from station to station collecting beads and adding them to their journey sticks (chenille craft sticks).
