2016 JDS Scholarship Recipient

The Aiken Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Commissioners presented the 2016 Jeffrey Dale Swartz Scholarship to North Augusta High School Graduate, Eric Outlaw. Eric received $1000.00 to use towards his tuition at Clemson University. He will be attending this fall and has chosen to study Agribusiness. The ASWCD Board of commissioners were impressed with Eric’s involvement in extra-curricular activities like the Beta Club, National Honor Society, North Augusta High Schools Culinary Arts Program, church youth groups, and sports teams. Eric has an astounding amount of volunteer experience and still has time to work a part time job. Michael Keltz, a youth minister at Grace Methodist Church, wrote in regards to Eric’s character, “Eric’s biggest strength is his heart for others,” and “Eric has a heart for his community as well”. You can read Eric’s winning essay in which he speaks about his college and career goals HERE.
