Dr. Lance Beecher, Aquaculture and Fisheries Specialist at Clemson University, will be educating participants about how aquaponics systems can be utilized to produce food for both small family farms and those interested in commercial systems. Come learn about the principals of how these systems work; the fish and plants used in these ecosystems; how to maintain water quality; and how to construct and operate a basic system. Participants will help build one system that will be given away in a raffle at the end of the workshop.
