OUR MISSION:

Aiken Soil & Water Conservation District's mission is to lead local efforts to promote the conservation, stewardship, economic and ecological sustainability of natural resources through the development of strategies, comprehensive plans, and educational outreach efforts on behalf of the residents of Aiken County through the coordination of leadership, information, and funding.

WHAT DOES ASWCD DO?

Aiken Soil & Water Conservation District (ASWCD) coordinates technical, financial, and educational programs to meet the needs of landowners and residents in Aiken County. ASWCD is formed by a group of Elected and Appointed Commissioners, Associate Commissioners, Affiliate Members, and a District Manager. We also partner with several local, state, and federal agencies to better serve Aiken County. If you would like to learn more about our organization feel free to attend one of our monthly board meetings. Meetings are typically the first Wednesday of every month, give our office a call or check out our Events & Happenings section for more details.
